Life becomes so much better when you decide not to care. Just live for the moment and don’t let the drama bring you down.

muntingprinsipe:

So I salute my fellow designers for still working here in the Philippines even if they’re being underpaid. We Filipinos relish a well-deserved international reputation for creativity so we can’t deny the fact that we have so many talented Filipino creatives who can make more money out of the country but some still stay here to work. Why? I think it’s because Filipinos are worth designing for.
We want people to know that design’s not just about making things look attractive. Design is also a useful tool for our growth and development. Did you know that countries with firm design competitiveness have a tendency to be strong economically and competitive internationally? So there’s a progressive and strong relationship between design and development.
But unfortunately, I think there’s still a lack of understanding and appreciation of our creative industries as a whole. We’re being left behind by our neighboring countries in harnessing the design creativity of their people to increase their economies and well-being, as well as increase standards of living.
So we should effectively harness our creativity. We should develop the full potential of our creative industries, improving its competitive advantage and refining its reputation and becoming well recognized.
I’ve said too much but my point’s that people should value us designers and understand the benefits of good design. We don’t just Photoshop and stuff. Haha! :)
*I just got the photo from Facebook so the figures presented may not be a true fact.
